Eligibility: An owner of a residential single structure, or a unit within a structure, that is not intended to be moved may be eligible for coverage. If you do not buy a plan for every electric, natural gas or propane clothes dryer you own, you must designate at enrollment the dryer your plan covers, or the plan will cover the dryer for which you make a service call. If you own a multi-family home or multiple housing units, you must provide the specific mailing address for each service agreement you purchase. You are not eligible if your property is used for commercial purposes; you know of any current problems with your dryer before enrollment; your entire dryer system is shared with a 3rd party or covered by a homeownersâ?? association or the like. In IA, properties with more than 4 dwelling units are not eligible.
Benefit Details: Coverage provides as many service calls as you need for covered repairs to repair or replace the following parts of the electric, natural gas or propane clothes dryer that are damaged due to normal wear and tear, not accident or negligence: ignitors and insulated brackets; ignition systems, belts, pulleys, and motors; impeller, thermostat, and timer controls; regulators, coils, idler alarm, and gas valves; shutoff valves (which are an integral part of your dryer); door striker and door switch; electronic controls (e.g., wiping rings, associated wire nuts, internal fuses, etc.); drum rollers, sensors, limit disk, and limit controls; start switches; heating elements high and low wattage.
Not covered: Single unit and stackable washers and dryers; LG and Neptune dryers; combination and stackable washer/dryer units; dryers with touch pads or digital controls; vent pipe, drum, appliance connectors, finish defects; hardware such as springs, hinges, gaskets, glass on door; all parts not listed as covered; pre-existing conditions; accidents and damage or negligence caused by you or others. Additional exclusions apply. Disputes resolved by arbitration, without class action or jury trial, unless otherwise stated in your full Terms and Conditions.
Making a Service Call: Your plan starts the day your enrollment is processed. There is an initial 30-day waiting period before you can make a service call, providing 11 months of coverage during the first year. Upon renewal/reactivation (if applicable), there is no waiting period.
Cancellation: Cancel any time by calling HomeServe. If you cancel within 30 days of your start date, you will get a full refund (less claims paid, where applicable). Cancellations after the first 30 days will result in a pro-rata refund (less claims paid, where applicable).
Renewal: The plan is annual. Unless you cancel, your plan automatically renews annually at the then-current renewal price and is billed monthly through your utility bill.
