  • If your home is a recreational vehicle or otherwise intended to be moved; your property is used for commercial purposes; you know of any current problems with your system before enrollment; your system is shared with a 3rd party or covered by a homeowners’ association or the like; has more than 1 condenser or 1 air handler; uses refrigerant which does not meet federal, state or any other applicable regulatory or code requirements; has non-compliant components; exceeds 5 tons capacity; is installed on a roof, is an ammonia cooling, geothermal heat pump, window, through the wall, or hanging unit; or is not installed according to manufacturer specifications

  • Air filters, compressors, condenser or evaporator coils, electric disconnects, remote control devices, metering systems that include TXV or 4-way valves, king/reversing valves, refrigerant leaks or maintenance recharges, refrigerant conversions, more than 1 condenser or 1 air handlers, and damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others or unusual circumstances. Costs on covered repairs may exceed the benefit limit, in which case you pay the difference between the cost and the benefit limit. Additional exclusions apply.

Benefit Details: Coverage provides, up to the applicable benefit limit, to repair or replace the following broken or failed system parts for which you have sole responsibility, that are damaged due to normal wear and tear, not accident or negligence: blower motors, blower wheels, circuit boards, condensate pumps, condenser fan blades, condenser fan motors, defrost control boards, defrost sensors, electronic expansion valve power heads, fuses, removable valve cores, service port valve caps, transformers, or thermistors, including clearing accessible condensate lines. Coverage includes one annual tune-up. Coverage provides for repairs or replacement of parts only. Your system will not be replaced.

Making a Service Call: Your plan starts the day your enrollment is processed. There is an initial 30-day waiting period before you can make a service call, giving you 11 months of coverage during the first year. Upon renewal/reactivation (if applicable), there is no waiting period.
Cancellation: Cancel any time by calling HomeServe. If you cancel within 30 days of your start date, you will get a full refund (less claims paid, where applicable). Cancellations after the first 30 days will result in a pro-rata refund (less claims paid, where applicable).
Renewal: The plan is annual. Unless you cancel, your plan automatically renews annually at the then-current renewal price with your same payment terms.
