Exclusions

  • Appliances covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, chemical, sedimentary or mineral build up, mold, mud, soil movement, pet damage, or pest damage; rust or corrosion within 90 days of the start date; instances where environmental contamination is evident or where contamination could be caused; and any costs associated with treatment, removal, recovery, disposal, transportation or storage of any known or suspected toxic or hazardous substance/material; any additional costs to repair, replace or remove appliances affixed within your home or making space for replacement appliances where they don’t fit within the existing space; any costs related to removing or disposing of appliances; and damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others, or unusual circumstances. Microwave: Interior linings, door glass, light bulbs, clocks, shelves, portable or counter-top units, meat probe assemblies, rotisseries. Dishwasher: Racks, baskets, rollers. Kitchen refrigerator: Racks, shelves, beverage dispensers and their respective equipment, interior thermal shells, food or other content spoilage, light bulbs. Range/oven/cooktop: Clocks or light bulbs (unless they affect the function of the oven), meat probe assemblies, rotisseries, racks, handles, knobs and dials. Sensi-heat burners will only be replaced with standard burners. Ineligibility for one appliance does not render you ineligible for the remaining coverage hereunder.
Benefit Details: Coverage provides, up to the benefit amount per appliance, for the covered cost to repair or replace the broken or failed residential appliances in your home, for which you have sole responsibility, that fail to perform their fundamental operation(s) in normal service due to normal wear and tear, not accident or negligence. This service agreement covers one (1) of each of the following appliances: built-in microwave oven; built-in or portable dishwasher; kitchen refrigerator; built-in, portable or free-standing gas or electric range/oven/cooktop; clothes washer and dryer. If any appliance is deemed beyond repair, you can apply the balance of your benefit amount to a like-for-like replacement.

Making a Service Call: Your plan starts the day your enrollment is processed. There is an initial 30-day waiting period before you can make a service call, giving you 11 months of coverage during the first year. Upon renewal (if applicable), there is no waiting period.
Cancellation: Cancel any time by calling HomeServe. If you cancel within 30 days of your start date, you will get a full refund (less claims paid, where applicable). Cancellations after the first 30 days will result in a pro-rata refund (less claims paid, where applicable).
Renewal: The plan is annual. Unless you cancel, your plan automatically renews annually at the then-current renewal price with your same payment terms.
