FPL Home has partnered with HomeServe,* an independent company, to provide their customers affordable emergency repair plans that help protect against costly and inconvenient covered repairs to systems through their homes and properties. FPL Home and HomeServe entered into an agreement to introduce these plans to FPL Home's customers.
What's covered
- Capacitors, circuit boards and internal fuses
- Breakers, condensate pumps and condenser motor
- Condenser fan, contactor switches and delay timer
- Fan controls, fan relays, filter dryer, high and low pressure switches
- Up to 1 pound of refrigerant
- Limit controls, relays, defrost controls, defrost sensors, transformers, and valves
- One (1) annual tune-up of your heat pump/cooling system
Repairing the condenser motor fan and circuit board in your A/C unit can cost an average of $1,024‡.
How a cooling system failure can affect your home:
- A bad condenser can cause the fan to blow but not cool
- Circuit board failure can cause the breaker to keep tripping
As a homeowner, you are responsible for the cooling system on your property and you will have to arrange and pay for any necessary repairs. This illustration shows a typical cooling system found on your property. ‡National average repair costs as of January 2023. No charge for covered repairs up to your service call benefit amount.
