The Tankless Water Heater Coverage provides covers the costs to repair a tankless-based electric, natural gas or propane water heater that is damaged from normal wear and tear. With a repair plan from HomeServe, you can help protect yourself from the cost and hassle of emergency water heater repairs.
Important coverage information
Eligibility: To be eligible, you must own the residential single structure or a unit within a structure. You are not eligible if your home is a recreational vehicle or otherwise intended to be moved; your property is used for commercial purposes; you know of any current problems with your water heater before enrollment; your water heater is shared with a 3rd party or covered by a homeowners' association or the like; your water heater is not installed according to manufacturer specifications; you have a heat pump water heater; or your water heater exceeds 200,000 BTU. In IA, properties with more than 4 dwelling units are not eligible.
Benefit Details: Coverage provides for repair of the broken or failed electric, natural gas or propane tankless water heater that has experienced an operational failure, for which you have sole responsibility, that is damaged due to normal wear and tear, not accident or negligence. Coverage provides for repairs or replacement of parts only. Your system will not be replaced. One cleaning and flush per term is included.
Not Covered: Restricted lines or water pressure over 80 P.S.I, and damage/loss of performance as a result of poor water quality, gas logs, wifi thermostats, fireplaces and other space heating, heat recovery, extraction or window air conditioners, mixing valves, expansion tanks, water coils, air vents, attic pans and/or damage due to broken condensate lines, more than 2 circulators and 2 standard thermostats, piping to and from boilers, or refrigerant conversions and damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others or unusual circumstances Additional exclusions apply. Disputes resolved by arbitration, without class action or jury trial, unless otherwise stated in your full Terms and Conditions.
Making a Service Call: Your plan starts the date your enrollment is processed. There is an initial 30-day waiting period before you can make a service call, providing 11 months of coverage during the first year. Upon renewal/reactivation (if applicable), there is no waiting period.
Cancellation: Cancel any time by calling HomeServe. If you cancel within 30 days of your start date, you will get a full refund (less claims paid or cleaning and flushes provided, where applicable). Cancellations after the first 30 days will result in a pro-rata refund (less claims paid or cleaning and flushes provided, where applicable).
Renewal: The plan is annual. Unless you cancel, your plan automatically renews annually at the then-current renewal price with your same payment terms.
