  • If your home is a recreational vehicle or otherwise intended to be moved; your property is used for commercial purposes; you know of any current problems with your system(s) before enrollment; your entire system(s) is shared with a 3rd party or covered by a homeowners' association or the like; you have a heat pump water heater; your system(s) are not installed according to manufacturer specifications; your heating system is fueled by oil; your cooling system exceeds five-ton capacity; your heat pump, heating system or water heater exceeds 200,000 BTU; or your heat pump/cooling system is a window unit. Ineligibility for one system does not render you ineligible for the remaining coverage

Exclusions

  • Damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others or unusual circumstances, gas logs, wifi thermostats, fireplaces and other space heating, heat recovery, extraction or window air conditioners, mixing valves, expansion tanks, water coils, air vents, attic pans and/or damage due to broken condensate lines, more than 2 circulators and 2 standard thermostats, piping to and from boilers, or refrigerant conversions. Interior Gas Fuel Line: Buried piping, bonding. Heat Pump/Cooling System: Indoor coils, outdoor coils, compressors, TXV's, filters/dryers, service valves and non-standard thermostats and thermostat wiring. Heating System: Air ducts, registers, air filters, zoning components and electronics, electronic air cleaners, flue venting, humidifiers, non-standard thermostats, thermostat wiring, air balancing, chimney maintenance or repairs, heating jacket, asbestos or other insulation, heat exchangers, leaking boilers, boiler distribution piping, radiators. Failure of the following parts may require a draindown: auto-fill valves, circulators, manual or relief valves. Tankless Water Heater: Restricted lines or water pressure over 80 P.S.I. and damage/loss of performance as a result of poor water quality. Additional exclusions apply.

Cancellation: Cancel any time by calling HomeServe. If you cancel within 30 days of your start date, you will get a full refund (less claims paid or tune-ups, cleaning and flushes provided, where applicable). Cancellations after the first 30 days will result in a pro-rata refund (less claims paid or tune-ups, cleaning and flushes provided, where applicable).
Renewal: The plan is annual. Unless you cancel, your plan automatically renews annually at the then-current renewal price with your same payment terms.

When can I make a service call?
Your plan starts the date your enrollment is processed. There is an initial 30-day waiting period before you can make a service call, providing 11 months of coverage during the first year. Upon renewal/reactivation (if applicable), there is no waiting period.
What does Repair Access include?
A 10% discount on any parts and labor for repair work performed on your system that is not otherwise covered by this Service Agreement ("Repair Access").
What type of Heat Pump is covered?
An electric, central Heat Pump that does not exceed 200,000 BTUs.
What will happen if we cannot repair your Heat Pump/Cooling System?
If we determine that your Heat Pump/Cooling System cannot be repaired, or if parts are unavailable, obsolete, or being phased out, or we deem your Heat Pump/Cooling System beyond repair, we will provide $100 towards the purchase and installation by us of a minimum of 14 Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio ("S.E.E.R") Heat Pump/Cooling System.
What type of Heating System is covered?
Natural gas, propane, central forced air or circulating hot water central Heating System that does not exceed 200,000 BTUs.
What will happen if we cannot repair your Heating System?
If we determine that your Heating System cannot be repaired, or if parts are unavailable, obsolete, or being phased out, or we deem Your Heating System beyond repair, we will provide $100 towards the purchase and installation by us of a comparable replacement Heating System.
What type of Tankless Water Heater is covered?
An electric, natural gas, or propane Tankless Water Heater that does not exceed 200,000 BTUs.
What will happen if we cannot repair your Tankless Water Heater?
If We determine that your Tankless Water Heater cannot be repaired, or if parts are unavailable, obsolete, or being phased out, or we deem your Tankless Water Heater beyond repair, we will provide, we will provide $50 towards the purchase and installation by us of a comparable replacement Tankless Water Heater. We will not cover any change in fuel type.
